Shambaugh has completed extensive work for the dairy processing industry, including large-scale plant design and construction as well as smaller, more modest installation projects.
We focus on providing clients innovative value, such as cutting-edge water recycling systems, 24-hour process capabilities, and material-handling design for increased process flow. By leveraging our in-house prefabrication capabilities, we are able to better meet fast-track construction deadlines and complete expansions with minimal disturbance to regular production.
We are proud to have provided design-build services for many award-winning dairy processing plants, including projects for Mazza Cheese Company, Kroger Mountain View Foods, and Chobani Yogurt, among others.
In 2018, we designed and built Dairy Farmers of America’s Garden City plant, which Food Engineering magazine named the Sustainable Plant of the Year in recognition of the plant’s outstanding sustainable engineering features. Even more recently, Valley Milk’s 2019 powder manufacturing plant earned Plant of the Year recognition for its innovative water and energy conservation strategies.
