Shambaugh helped the team and owner value-engineer and develop fire protection designs to safeguard the facility. The fire protection sprinkler package covered approximately 70 percent of the facility, including the state-of-the-art main office building.
Client Objectives
The client needed to build a new plasma-based treatment manufacturing plant on a 100-acre development site.
Scope of Services
Shambaugh’s work included:
- Installing the main fire pump house, including a water storage tank
- Installing wet, dry, and pre-action sprinkler systems, as well as standpipe and hose systems throughout the facility
- Designing and installing 65 sprinkler systems totaling over 11,000 sprinkler heads
- BIM 3D modeling, including pipe, hangers, fittings, and sprinkler heads
