Shambaugh's Northstar Fire Protection division performed all fire sprinkler work for 13 of 20 buildings on the ExxonMobil campus, including 60,000 sprinkler heads and, multiple fire pump systems. The ExxonMobil campus was one of the largest construction projects in the United States. After six years, Shambaugh is still on-site, performing all fire sprinkler service work and inspections across the entire campus.
Client Objectives
The client sought to build a new 385-acre campus to bring many global functional groups together in one location; foster improved collaboration, creativity, and innovation; and enhance the company’s ability to attract, develop, and retain the top talent in the industry.
Scope of Services
The ExxonMobil campus project consisted of 20 buildings—fourteen offices, laboratory, childcare facility, and wellness center—built simultaneously with a phased turnover.
Northstar's scope of work included installing sprinkler heads in:
- Three parking garages
- Nine office buildings ranging from 250,000 to 350,000 square feet
- One 200,000 square-foot laboratory
