Client Objectives

The client wanted to build a new Shredded Wheat and Triscuit manufacturing facility in Niagara Falls, NY.

Scope of Services

Shambaugh oversaw all general construction services, as well as installation of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. In addition to installing fluid bed drying systems to quickly cool the client’s products, Shambaugh designed and installed state-of-the-art pneumatic transport systems to improve material handling.

For optimum manufacturing efficiency, the company also designed a new process automation system with an easy-to-use operator interface for communicating with the client’s mainframe.

And the company both designed and implemented a common indexing protocol to enable smoother interaction between, and among, the client’s process equipment, tankage and custom vibratory conveyors.
