Joe is a skilled and passionate safety professional, who is also goal-oriented and a team player. He focuses on basic safety coaching, helping to ensure that company policies and safety values are communicated and implemented effectively in the field. 

His responsibilities include job site safety observations, policy implementation, ordering/delivering/auditing safety equipment, review and approval of job hazard analyses and job safety analyses, and injury and incident management.

Expertise

Joe came to Shambaugh with a depth of experience from the general contractor’s perspective, working in the construction industry for twelve years before changing his focus to safety. 

He has experience leading the development, implementation, and management of environmental health and safety policies and procedures on a variety of projects, including high-tech facilities, data centers, and a range of commercial properties. 

Joe has a degree in business management from Western Nevada College. Highly trained and certified, his professional accreditations include a full spectrum of OSHA qualifications, specialized safety training, and management, planning, and leadership courses.

The Personal Side

Joe and his wife have three children. Along with being an avid animal lover, he enjoys motorcycles, restoring and rebuilding old trucks, and outdoor activities.
