Vice President, West Coast Operations
Overseeing our West Coast operations, Dominic plans and directs critical projects from start to finish and develops highly effective relationships with national contractors, developers, and end users.
Throughout his more than two-decade career at Shambaugh, Dominic has become one of the nation’s foremost fire protection authorities in the commercial and industrial sectors. He has been directly involved with over one billion dollars of fire protection projects that he has developed from the design-build phase through project completion.
Dominic started at Shambaugh as a Project Designer in our Chicago branch. He worked his way up to Lead Salesman then directed a team of estimators in that market and led a number of national projects. As Vice President, West Coast Operations, Dominic manages the western half of the country with offices currently located in Phoenix, Ariona, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Brea, California.
Over the years, Dominic has worked with major global and domestic clients such as Kraft, Trader Joe’s, Sysco Foods, Amazon, Monster Energy, TNT Logistics, Walmart, Home Depot, Kroger, Tesla, and Ford among others. He has helped lead the design, installation, and maintenance of fire protection systems ranging from $1,000 to $40 million.
Dominic earned his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University’s Building Construction Management Program and is certified by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies.
He serves on the committee of the National Fire Protection Association and is also a member of the Illinois Fire Protection Association and Mechanical Contractors of America.
