Mark’s responsibilities cover all financial operations, including financial reporting, management information systems, treasury functions, billing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, credit and collections, and other related business services.

Expertise

Mark has more than 30 years of management experience, more than 25 of those with Shambaugh. Before joining Shambaugh, he held positions as a retail Store Manager and as Vice President of a major engineering and consulting company.

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting and information systems from the University of Texas, another bachelor’s in business with a major in marketing from Indiana University, and an associate degree in applied sciences with a specialty in management from Purdue University. He strives to continuously improve his education by attending financial- and construction-related seminars.

A Certified Public Accountant, Mark is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accounts. He was formerly President of the Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana (BCA), the Northern Indiana Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI), and the Construction Financial Management Association, as well as Midland, Texas’s Jaycees.

He is a current Board Member of the BCA and a former board member of the Midland Chamber of Commerce, he has also held various offices with the Petroleum Accountants’ Society of the Permian Basin.

The Personal Side

Mark spends his free time with his wife and three sons. He also enjoys boating, playing golf, and spending time on his farm.
