Ed Grace Division Manager
Dave’s responsibilities include overseeing proposal and estimate development, approving procurement requests, and ensuring that the division has the management and other manpower needed to deliver high-quality projects consistently on time and on budget.
He also monitors safety compliance, tracks training activities, and manages the administrative functions necessary for maximum efficiency and service responsiveness.
Dave has been a part of the division for over 43 years, approximately 25 of which have been with Shambaugh. During that time, he has held estimating, quality assurance/quality control roles, project management, operations management, and division management positions.
Leverating cumulative expertise that ranges from project estimating to procurement, he has worked on industrial, institutional, and commercial Design-Build and other projects valued from a few thousand dollars up to $57 million.
Dave holds a bachelor’s in industrial management from Purdue University and completed the Dale Carnegie Course, where he earned the program’s highest achievement award. He has dedicated over 50 hours per year of continuing education through the Fails Management Institute, Disney Institute, Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) of America, National Electrical Contractors of America (NECA), and internal company training programs.
Dave serves as Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Wabash Valley MCA, where he is also chairman of negotiating, nominating, scholarship, and industry promotion committees. He also serves as Chairman of the MCA of Indiana’s Board of Directors, where he is also on the finance and scholarship committees, and chairman of the labor relations committee.
Dave enjoys many outdoor sports activities and spending time with his family.
