Daniel J. Ritzert, DBIA

Senior Vice President, Division Manager, Mechanical Process Group

Value Delivered

Dan manages the activities of our engineering departments to ensure designs are reliable, economically justifiable, constructible within the allotted time, reflect stringent safety standards, and consistent with best practices and procedures for the industries we serve.

As Division Manager, Dan is responsible for Shambaugh’s ability to execute fully-integrated, single-source design, installation, and maintenance of highly automated, hygienic process systems. Working with our team of experienced program managers and outside engineering firms, he oversees each of our design-build part I conceptual engineering studies to ensure that scopes of work are clearly defined and appropriately scheduled and estimated for our customers.

Expertise

Dan has been a valued member of the Shambaugh team since 1997. His success is built upon a solid base of experience and diversification which includes: numerous food process projects; maintenance, capital projects, and design-build construction; managing numerous mechanical projects for customers across central and northern Indiana; and more.

Having held a range of responsibilities—from field piping installer to leader of our engineering groups—Dan is uniquely qualified to lead our teams during the conceptual design, scheduling, and budgeting phases of our often highly-automated, process-intense, schedule-critical projects.

Dan earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in construction engineering management from Purdue University. His qualifications include Indiana Fundamentals of Engineering licensure, Design Build Institute of America certification, and licensure as a Journeyman Plumber in Indiana.

The Personal Side

Dan is married and has three children. He enjoys boating, biking, camping, skiing, and working outside.
